Infrastructure Support Grant
Please note that this funding programme is currently closed as we have granted up to £300,000 of our budget.
Information on the grant
If your organisation is currently a recipient of grants from the Justice Together Initiative, or a partner on a bid, we are welcoming applications for funding of work that strengthens your organisation through our Infrastructure Support Grant.
Our Infrastructure Support Grants are designed to respond to your organisation’s needs. We have budgeted £300,000 to give, and we will be providing grants of up to £20,000 to individual organisations.
Our grants are restricted to strengthening organisations, please note that we will not provide funding for new posts. We will also not provide funding for fundraising posts as we will seek to support our partners with fundriaing moving forward due to the demand in this area.
Below is a list of some examples the funding can be used for, this is by no means exhaustive, and we welcome suggestions on what your organisation needs to be stronger:
- Human resources support
- Consultants to assist in developing strategic plans, Theory of Change, and learning plans
- Wellbeing support
- Leadership training
- Support to develop and implement an anti-racist strategy
Examples of grants we have awarded so far include:
- Tech and IT Equipment
- Project management and voulnteer training
- Office space
Our Focus
Please note, due to demand, our infrastructure grants will only be for organisations that have a turnover of under £350k and are either one of the below:
- Migrant-led organisations
- Small or Grassroots organisations
Please also note if lived experience organisations strongly fulfil all the criteria and have been unable to access funding elsewhere for a particular infrastructure need, then the panel would consider applications form these organisations even if over the £350k limit.
To Apply
Please email the infrastructure support form along with a proposed budget (please download a budget template here) to your grant manager with the title Infrastructure Support Grant and the name of your organisation. For example, Infrastructure Support Grant Justice Collaborations.
If you have already submitted an application to another funder for your specific request, we can look over this and you do not have to complete this form.
We are happy for you to let us know about your proposal via voice note and/or video if you prefer.
If the file is too large to be sent via email, you can use We Transfer WeTransfer – Send Large Files & Share Photos Online – Up to 2GB Free Please send with the Title Infrastructure Support Grant and the name of your Organisation.
Please also get in touch with your grant manager, if you’re unsure about whether you’re eligible to apply for our Infrastructure Support Grant or if it is appropriate for the support you require.
How we will make decisions
Requests will be assessed by our grants team and grant committee member, and will take into consideration:
- Appropriateness of funding towards strengthening your organisation
- Budget available for our Infrastructure Support Grants
- Availability of other funder-plus options
Please also note when deciding whether an organisation is small or grassroots, we will consider the following: the number of staff, having a turnover of under 350k, and whether the organisation is volunteer-led.
Funding decisions will be made every month, possibly quicker for applications requiring urgent or time-sensitive support. Please note the process of receiving a decision and distributing funds can take up to 3 months to complete.
